This Week
Saturday 30th April – Work Party – Clubhouse Spring Clean, 10am
Following some extensive building works over the past few weeks (more on this in the next section) and in order to open up for the Fitting Out Supper the club needs a clean up. If you can spare even a little time to come and help on Saturday morning from 10 a.m please do.

Saturday 30th April – Fitting Out Supper – Fish and Chips, 6 for 6:30pm

This is an evening  where we get together to meet new members, catch up with old friends and celebrate the beginning of the new sailing season.

We were hoping for a Chef to come in  for a formal meal but with the extensive building  works we felt there was no guarantee the club would be ready in time.  So as an alternative we have decided to have an early evening of drinks and fish and chips from  Mrs T”s, there is a link here to pre order
your food.

It will be lovely to have the club open and busy again, come along and see what has been done   Doors open from 6 pm , food served  6.30- 7. We look forward to seeing  you.

Sunday 1st May – White Hart Race, 11am

The traditional season opener. 11am race start upriver.
Last Week
We’ve had the builders and electricians in over the past few weeks making a number of changes to bring us fully compliant with the latest regulations.

Work has included:
new fireboarding
emergency/safety lighting
Fire Suppressant System in the kitchen
electrical testing and remedial work
new smoke detectors in sheds and changing rooms

The work is almost complete and we have a clean up work party planned for Saturday. Details above.

Meanwhile the members have been busy organising the start box, painting the safety boat, mowing the lawns and cleaning the slip.

We have further work planned with planning permission recently granted to add some doors from the main room to the balcony, opening the space up. But in the meantime its time to go sailing!
