Friday 27th May
Cruiser Race – Friday Night Series, Race 1. Start at 19:00. Course announcement, pizza orders and general race banter on the cruiser whatsapp.
Bar Open – The Sailing club bar will be open from 7pm tonight . Let’s celebrate the beginning of half term with a full clubhouse, the cruisers will be coming in later but you can order Indian food to arrive at 8 from Shoeme Balti House or Reydon Chinese. There will be a pile of vinyl from the past to keep us musically entertained and we have a paid bar person for the night so let’s start the holiday with a bang.

Sunday 29th May
Spring Series 4 – The final round of spring series races. Its very close at the top between Neil in his laser and Hugh in his Optimisit.. Who will the take the series win? Register here

Queens Platinum Jubilee Parade & Songs of Praise.
The club have been invited to join other local organisations in a parade followed by Song of Praise at St Edmunds Church on Sunday 29th May, to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. If you are interested in attending please register via this link.

“St Edmund’s Church and the Town Council would very much like to invite you to join them at a Songs of Praise Service to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Sunday 29th May 2022 at 11am at St Edmund’s Church, Southwold. There will be a parade to and from the church led by the Leiston Town Band.  Details are as below:Assemble at the Town Hall, Market Place, Southwold, no later than 10.30am.  (If you do not wish to parade please take your seats in the church by 10.50am for the Service at 11am).After the Service the Parade will reform and return to the Town Hall via North Parade/Pinkneys Lane.”

Saturday 21st May – Bring a Friend Day
A sunny afternoon with a gentle breeze that gradually built through the afternoon was the perfect opportunity to provide some potential new members with a sailing experience on the river, followed by Fish & Chips back at the clubhouse.
Sunday 22nd May – Spring Series 3. HW 15:58
2 races back to back in the Bay. A first chance to sail at sea for the season with champagne conditions enjoyed by all..  
Wednesday 25th May – Social Sail. 
The perfect tide for an evening sail, sadly the breeze from the afternoon disappeared as soon as the “fleet” had launched!
