Covid rules, from 12 April 2021
We continue to follow the RYA guidance for the return to boating
- Respect the Rule of Six
- Maintain social distancing at all times in and around the club
- The club is open to members only
- Follow the RYA code: be cautious and considerate
Do not attend if you have any of the following symptoms
- Temperature or fever over 37.8°C
- A new persistent cough
- Loss of or change to sense of smell or taste
- If you live in the same household as someone who has developed the above symptoms or has had a positive Covid-19 test in the last 14 days
Changing rooms and toilets
- Members only
- One bubble at a time – do not walk through to use the toilets while people are changing
- Queue outside, 2 metres apart
- Do not pass others in the corridor
- Use hand sanitiser on entry and exit
- Use cleaning materials provided before and after every use of showers and basins
Clubhouse
- Upstairs is closed until further notice
Boat Shed and Black Hut
- Strictly 1 bubble at a time
Start Box
- Strictly 1 person at a time
Garden
- Remain socially distanced and respect the Rule of Six
- Only sit at a table with members of your own household or bubble
Dinghy Park
- Maintain social distancing when rigging and recovering
- Give people room
- NB: Do not use dinghy park slipway until repairs have taken place – use the Town Slipway
Sailing
- Organised club sailing can take place from 12 April
- Pre-register for all sailing activities using the sign-in form at southwoldsc.org (see the main menu)
- Dinghy painters must be 2m long
- Safety boat crew must maintain social distancing or be from the same bubble
- All boats to make their own way to and from the sailing area
- Sailors must make a good judgement on their own sailing ability for the conditions
Track and Trace
- Use the sign-in form at southwoldsc.org (see the main menu) if you are in or around the club, even if you are not sailing
